Fig 5. The crosswalk as it looked some months after the accident (l) and the way it looked five years later (r). Notice the wear patterns on the white crosswalk lines in the right-hand photo - they are virtually worn away - where they abut the equally worn away first set of double yellow lines. 
   The "Mother of all Telephone Poles" can be seen to the right in each picture. A view through the underpass area can be seen to the mid-upper left in both photos. 
    The worn away crosswalk lines (r) closer in toward the curb were caused by tractor trailers and buses swinging wide as they make that left-hand turn onto Tewksbury Avenue. Note: the crosswalk lines were repainted in '07. [See also the LIGHTS! CAMERA! REALITY! section of the website.]
